The joy to be found in the simple pleasures in life
When was the last time that you stopped to enjoy the simple pleasures in life? In modern life, we’re so accustomed to always busying ourselves with being productive that we’ve forgotten how to simply live. Simple pleasures such as listening to the birdsong in your garden, baking a cake or taking a long walk in nature can sometimes feel like luxuries that elude us. But the irony is that these joys have never actually left us, we just need to remind ourselves of how to enjoy them.
Create, stimulate & meditate
The power of immersing yourself in life’s simple pleasure can be incredibly nurturing and grounding for the soul. Maybe we feed our creativity through craft projects or writing a poem. We can stimulate our senses through cookery, music and being present in nature. We can better understand how to create positive energy flows through meditation, yoga and journaling.

As a species, I think we can agree, that we all just needed to stop, look around and smell the roses. The human race needed to reconnect with what it was to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Away from the noise of modern living, we can get back to a simpler state, of just allowing ourselves to be. You don’t need much money to enjoy so many of life’s pleasures. It may be a cliche but it’s true, the best things in life are for free. So lets all stop, breathe, and feel how beautiful it is to be immersed in the simple pleasures of life.
